1. Overview

This policy applies to the Lab Insights App available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the terms described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

• Laboratory test values and reference ranges you enter into the App
• Account information if you create an account (name, email address)
• Communications you send us for support purposes
• Feedback, ratings, or survey responses you voluntarily submit

Information collected automatically

• Device information (device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers)
• App usage data (features used, screens viewed, session duration, crash reports)
• IP address and general location (country/region level only)
• App performance and diagnostic data

Information we do NOT collect

• We do not collect your full name, date of birth, or national ID number by default
• We do not access your device contacts, camera, microphone, or photos unless you explicitly grant permission for a specific feature
• We do not track your location beyond the country/region level
• We do not collect payment card details (any payments are handled by Apple or Google)

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

We will never sell your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers: We use trusted third-party service providers to help operate the App (e.g. cloud hosting, analytics, crash reporting). These providers are contractually obligated to handle your data securely and only for the purposes we specify.
• AI processing: Your lab result data may be processed by AI services to generate explanations and recommendations. This processing is performed under strict data processing agreements that prohibit the use of your data for the provider's own purposes.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our legal rights or the safety of others.
• Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email and/or a prominent notice in the App prior to any such transfer.

5. Health Data — Special Protections

• Health data entered into the App is processed only to provide you with the explanations and recommendations you request
• Health data is not used to build advertising profiles or shared with data brokers
• Health data is not shared with employers, insurance companies, or healthcare providers without your explicit consent
• Where technically feasible, health data is processed on-device and not stored on our servers beyond the duration of your session
• If you create an account and choose to save your results, this data is stored in encrypted form and accessible only to you
• We comply with applicable health data regulations including HIPAA (where applicable), GDPR Article 9 (for EU/EEA users), and NDPA 2023 (for Nigerian users)

Apple HealthKit & Google Health Connect

If you choose to connect the App with Apple HealthKit or Google Health Connect, the App may read or write health data to those platforms in accordance with the permissions you grant. We will never use HealthKit or Health Connect data for advertising, and we will not share it with third parties without your explicit consent, except as required to provide the App's core features.

6. Data Retention

• Session data: If you use the App without an account, lab result data entered in a session is not retained on our servers after you close the App
• Account data: If you create an account, your saved results are retained until you delete them or close your account
• Account closure: When you delete your account, your personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law
• Analytics data: Anonymised, aggregated analytics data may be retained for up to 24 months to improve the App
• Support correspondence: Communications sent to our support team are retained for up to 3 years for quality assurance purposes

7. Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organisational security measures to protect your information, including:

• Encryption of data in transit using TLS 1.2 or higher
• Encryption of sensitive data at rest using AES-256
• Access controls limiting employee access to personal data on a need-to-know basis
• Regular security assessments and vulnerability testing
• Incident response procedures for data breach detection and notification

While we take every reasonable precaution, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. In the unlikely event of a data breach that affects your rights, we will notify you and the applicable regulatory authority in accordance with applicable law.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data
• Deletion: Request that we delete your personal data ("right to be forgotten")

• Restriction: Request that we restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances
• Withdraw consent: Where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time without affecting prior processing

California residents (CCPA)

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information), and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights.

EU / EEA residents (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Nigerian residents (NDPA 2023)

If you are located in Nigeria, you have rights under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, including the right to access, correct, and delete your personal data, and the right to lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).

9. Children's Privacy

Lab Insights is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EU/EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under these ages. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at info@6030technologies.com and we will delete such information promptly.

Users between the ages of 13 and 18 should use the App only with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian.

10. Third-Party Services

The App may use the following categories of third-party services. Each operates under its own privacy policy:

• Cloud infrastructure: For hosting and data storage
• AI / ML services: For processing lab results and generating explanations
• Analytics providers: For understanding App usage patterns (using anonymised data)
• Crash reporting: For identifying and fixing technical issues
• App stores: Apple App Store and Google Play Store have their own privacy policies governing your relationship with those platforms

We perform due diligence on all third-party providers and enter into Data Processing Agreements where required. We do not use advertising networks or third-party behavioural tracking within the App.

11. International Users

Lab Insights is operated by 6030 Technologies, a company incorporated in Nigeria. If you use the App from outside Nigeria, your information may be transferred to and processed in Nigeria or other countries where our service providers operate.

Where we transfer personal data internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place — including standard contractual clauses, adequacy decisions, or other mechanisms recognised under applicable law — to protect your information to an equivalent standard as required in your home jurisdiction.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App, our practices, or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will:

• Update the "Effective date" at the top of this policy
• Display a prominent notice within the App
• Send you an email notification if you have an account with us

Your continued use of the App after any changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
